Manila, Philippines. Last August, I went to my home country for our “Beauty Day in Manila” which was held last August 13 at the Edsa Shangrila Hotel. That trip to Manila was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had this year. My team did an amazing job in lining up PR events for me during my stay, and one of them was for a TV show, “Happy ToGeTher.”
I did a cameo role with John Lloyd Cruz, an award winning celebrity, not to mention, one of the greatest actors and leading men of all time. Its was a fun experience. The whole crew made sure I felt comfortable, and let me enjoy every moment. They had me memorize a few sentences and showed me my blocking They also reminded me of my cue and taught me how to deliver my line.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I truly enjoyed it! Our social media team managed to get a clip from the show. I am putting it up on this post along with some photos from the shoot. Enjoy!

There are moments in life that take you completely out of your comfort zone — and into something unexpectedly exciting. Stepping onto a television set for my very first cameo appearance was exactly that kind of moment.
For years, I’ve worked behind the scenes in beauty — helping clients feel confident, camera-ready, and radiant in their own skin. This time, however, I wasn’t preparing someone else for the spotlight. I was stepping into it myself.
Walking onto set felt both thrilling and surreal. The bright lights, the production crew moving with precision, the cameras positioned at every angle — it’s an entirely different world from the treatment room at O Skin Med Spa.
Even with decades of experience in the beauty industry and countless appearances at events and interviews, acting — even for a cameo — requires a different type of presence. There’s timing. Delivery. Awareness of the camera. Hitting marks. Repeating scenes until they’re just right.
It gave me a whole new appreciation for actors and what they do.
What made the experience even more meaningful was how naturally it connected to my journey in beauty. As the founder of Olivia Quido Skin Care, I’ve always believed that confidence translates on camera. Healthy, glowing skin isn’t just about appearance — it changes how you carry yourself.
Being in front of the camera reinforced that belief. When you feel good, you project differently. You stand taller. You speak with more ease. Confidence is visible.
And yes — professional skincare definitely helps under studio lighting.
Television production is meticulous. What may look effortless on screen often takes multiple takes, careful direction, and collaboration from dozens of people behind the scenes.
From wardrobe and makeup touch-ups to lighting adjustments and sound checks, every detail matters. It reminded me so much of running a successful spa — precision, teamwork, and preparation are everything.
The experience was a powerful reminder that excellence is built on discipline, no matter the industry.
Trying something new — especially later in your career — can feel intimidating. But growth lives in those uncomfortable moments.
Taking on this cameo role allowed me to:
Challenge myself creatively
Experience the entertainment world firsthand
Gain deeper appreciation for on-camera performance
Step into a completely different professional environment
It was refreshing to be a beginner again — to learn, to adjust, and to embrace the process.
While it may have been a cameo, it was a meaningful milestone. It marked a moment of expansion — proof that you don’t have to stay in one lane. You can evolve. Explore. Try something unexpected.
Being “an actress for a day” reminded me that life continues to offer new stages, new lessons, and new opportunities — if you’re willing to say yes.
And who knows? Maybe this won’t be the last time you see me on screen.
